Sheikh Jameel
Sheikh Jameel was born and raised in Montreal. After completing his High school in Montreal, he started his Islamic studies at Darul Uloom Zakariyya in South Africa and graduated in 2015. Upon graduation, Sheikh Jameel has been an Imam and has been teaching in the maktab to young children, he has also taken the initiative to teach Qur’an and various topics in Fiqh to young adults
Sheikh Zain Baig
Sheikh Zain Baig was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. It was in his hometown that he began his initial studies. He completed the memorization of the Quran and began his formal studies of Deen. Sheikh Zain then had the privilege of studying at Darul Uloom Canada, where he formally graduated from the Aalimiyyah program in 2019. He also completed a three-year course in Qira’ah and has ijazah in the ten variant readings (Sughra and Kubra) of the Qur’an. Sheikh Zain has studied the science of issuing legal Islamic verdicts (Iftaa) at Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah in Durban, South Africa under the world-renowned scholar Mufti Ebrahim Desai (May Allah have mercy on him). He holds accreditation in Islamic Finance from AAOIFI and is working to complete his Master’s in Islamic Finance from INCEIF in Malaysia. Along with his Deeni studies, he is currently in his last year of the Bachelors of Education program at Concordia University.
